Development of the settlements east of Lachish

The Gadish Group was selected to take a significant part in the development of eastern Lachish settlements after the evacuation of Gush Katif residents.

Later on, the Gadish Group develops additional localities in the area for the purpose of expanding the local population and the entire population. As part of the projects, approximately 1,198 housing units were established.

Among other things, development work was carried out that included: Preparation of underground infrastructure: water, sewage, lighting, communications, drainage, development of floodgates, paving of roads

The Southern Neighborhoods – Meitar

Gadish was chosen to plan the expansion of the settlement through the development of 1,077 dunams of land into residential areas. The residential neighborhood would include 816 housing units, divided into two main complexes that would be separated by the streams of Nahal Hebron and a forest, commerce areas, structures, public institutes and open public spaces.

The planning included: coordination with the KKL and the planning institute on the topic of removing the forest area from Tama 22 and locating an alternative area, drafting appendices for canceling the existing sewage treatment facility and coordinating with the Ministry of Health to reach an alternative end solution, canceling an approved plan for a waste disposal site, responding to the objections which were filed to the plan and presenting them in the discussions of the objections sub-committee

The “HaPark” Neighborhood in Be’er Sheva

Gadish was chosen to participate in the establishment of a new residential neighborhood which is located on the Nahal Be’er Sheva Park, at the city’s southern edge, and includes about 4,000 residential apartments. The area of the plan is about 1,150 dunams. The HaPark neighborhood is a new residential neighborhood which is being built by the Ministry of Housing and the Be’er Sheva Economic Company

:The neighborhood is located near two major transport arteries

Road 25, which crosses the city and connects it from the west towards Netivot and Ashkelon, and from the east towards Dimona, and Road 40, a bypass road towards Tel Aviv. At the center of the neighborhood, a central city plaza is proposed, which would constitute a meeting point and around it public buildings, commercial facades and diverse urban activity would be developed

A linear open public space, “Park HaArutz”, is planned along the neighborhood, and would weave its various parts together: residential buildings, public buildings, commerce and pedestrian routes, from the entrance to the neighborhood in Yigal Alon St. and up to the Nahal Be’er Sheva Park. The neighborhood was planned as a neighborhood for pedestrians, cyclists and public transit

Nitzanim Water Reservoir

Management of the construction of a huge water reservoir with a storage volume of about 3.6M cubic meters in the area of Kibbutz Nitzanim, for storing wastewater and distributing them for agricultural uses across southern Israel

The Jerusalem Light Rail

In the framework of this project, in which Gadish was responsible for the planning management, the execution management and the supervision, a pathway for the Jerusalem Light Rail was cleared (the Red Line), including the relocation of electricity systems, traffic lights, lighting, control and command, water, sewage and drainage, executing the Tzahal Square Tunnel into which motor traffic was directed, executing complex traffic arrangement for a period of two and a half years.

The project is located in the city’s center and its execution required extensive coordination with the Jerusalem Municipality/Police/Hadassah Hospital/Utilities/The Antiquities Authority/The Nature and Parks Authority/The Waqf/Notre Dame/The Ministry of Tourism/The Ministry of Defense etc.

Jerusalem Light Rail – The Purple Line

Gadish is responsible for managing the early planning stage of the Purple Line.  The Purple Line is a new light rail line in Jerusalem. Its a branch line that connects several major centers in the south of the city. The line starts from the Hadassah Hospital and continues all the way to Talpiot’s employment area. A potential extension of the line to the neighborhood of Armon HaNatziv is currently being reviewed.

Jerusalem Light Rail – Blue Line

Along the LTR Blue Line, Gadish was chosen to manage and plan two segments in Hebron Rd. “Park and Go” Nahal Sorek and “Park and Go” Har Homa. This LTR line would pass through Jerusalem, from the neighborhood of Ramot in the north to the neighborhoods of Talpiot and Gilo in the south. The line is about 31 kilometers long and includes 53 stations. The project includes preparation works for the works of the Blue Line’s franchisee.

Platforms Extension

Gadish Group is responsible for managing the early planning and the detailed planning of the platforms extensions in several railway stations. Platforms extension projects are complex both engineering-wise and execution-wise, and may decrease the loads and increase the number of passengers.

The planned platforms extension would be about 300 meters in each station, including maintenance of existing infrastructures and roofing. The extensions of the platforms would be carried during the continued ongoing operation of the stations.

Multilevel Intersection 24

Gadish group was chosen to execute a safety project that includes a multilevel intersection between the coastal railroad and a road near Moshav Avihail in Intersection 24. The project included the execution of a bridge with a length of about 120 meters with 4 spans, ramps with a total length of about 1 kilometer, and transparent 1.8-meters-high walls for protection for future electrification that would be executed in the coastal railroad.

Multilevel Intersection 15

Gadish was chosen to manage the execution in the framework of a safety project of Israel Railways. The upgrade included a bridge with a length of about 230m and a width of about 10m, with ramps on both sides. The project is located near the town of Zichron Ya’akov.
