Gedish won the tender for the landscape appendix within the framework of TATAL 18, which addresses the improvement of Haifa’s marine facade following the installation of electrification lines along the entire railway strip.
The appendix includes, among other things:
- Visual improvement of existing under-track passages.
- Structural upgrade of existing pedestrian and private vehicle under-track passages.
- Improved accessibility over the railway at existing crossings and the addition of new crossings.
- Landscaping of the railway strip within the plan’s scope.
- Landscaping of the strip adjacent to the railway, outside the plan’s boundary, in coordination with the Haifa Municipality.
- Maintaining the openness of main sightlines perpendicular to the sea and leading to it, by appropriately positioning and spacing the electrification poles.
- Uniform fencing – also addressing the safety and security definitions of Israel Railways.
