Gedish has been selected to serve as the chief project manager on behalf of Israel Railways
As part of the project, the following works are being carried out: the addition of two new electrified tracks designed for speeds of up to 250 km/h, upgrading the existing rail network for speeds of up to 160 km/h, construction of two new railway stations (Or Akiva and Zichron Yaakov), and the reconstruction of six existing stations. The electrification system is being adapted for the suburban tracks. In addition, a new power system is being established for the high-speed lines, along with the construction of tunnels, road and railway bridges, and operational and maintenance facilities
